Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Nathan Wittman began serving Parkwood UMC in July. His wife, Laura Wittman, also started a new appointment as the Associate Pastor at Epworth UMC. Their family grew by one last year with the birth of Cameron Wesley Wittman. He will turned one year old on July 12th.

Nathan is a graduate of ECU and Duke Divinity and was Ordained an Elder of the United Methodist Church at the June 2011 Annual Conference. Currently, he is a member of the District Committee on Ordained Ministry where he seeks to encourage others wanting to understand their call to ministry. Nathan and his wife (and they hope their new baby) are big fans of Duke Basketball and both are self-proclaimed “Nerds” enjoying Star Wars, video games, and trips to the movies when Cameron will let them. Nathan also enjoys creative writing and does so whenever the opportunity arises. Preaching is what gives him life in ministry and he has a love of small group ministries within the church that focus on faith strengthening.

Our Sunday Schedule

Join us for Sunday School at 9:45 am. We offer classes for all ages!

Worship with us at 11:00 am.

• Come as you are! Blue jeans are always welcome!
• We provide nursery care with a parent-pager for children under 3.

Parkwood United Methodist Church is located at 5123 Revere Road, in the Parkwood neighborhood of Durham, North Carolina.

Parkwood is accessible from both NC HWY 54 and NC HWY 55. Interstate 40 is also nearby.
